Beginning in 2026, Charlottetown Ringette Association at our Annual General Meeting will honor key members of our association who consistently go above and beyond through their exceptional time, dedication, and commitment to the sport.
The Charlottetown Ringette Coach of the Year Award recognizes a coach who has demonstrated outstanding leadership, strategic understanding, and a strong commitment to athlete development throughout the season. This award celebrates coaches who create positive, inclusive, and development-focused team environments while guiding their athletes through both successes and challenges.
To be eligible for the Coach of the Year Award, a nominee must:
Be a registered coach in good standing with Charlottetown Ringette for the current season
Adhere to Charlottetown Ringette and Ringette Canada policies, including the Code of Conduct
Demonstrate a commitment to athlete development, fair play, and sportsmanship
Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive team environment
Act as a role model for athletes, parents, and fellow coaches
The Charlottetown Ringette Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes an individual who has made a significant, consistent, and meaningful contribution to our organization through volunteer work. This award celebrates the dedication, time, and energy given freely to support athletes, teams, and the broader ringette community. It honors those who go above and beyond to strengthen our association, enhance the experiences of our members, and uphold the spirit and values of Charlottetown Ringette.
To be eligible for the Volunteer of the Year Award, a nominee must:
Demonstrates exceptional time and commitment, going above and beyond what is expected
Creates a tangible impact on the organization through meaningful contributions
Shows leadership and initiative, inspiring others and coordinating volunteer efforts when needed
Exhibits consistency and reliability, maintaining long-term involvement and dependability
Maintains a positive attitude and works well with others, supporting teamwork and the mission of Charlottetown Ringette
The Charlottetown Ringette Official of the Year Award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated exceptional dedication, professionalism, and consistency in officiating games within our association. This award celebrates officials who uphold the rules and spirit of ringette while contributing to a safe, fair, and positive experience for players, coaches, and families. Recipients of this award exemplify integrity, respect, and leadership, showing a commitment to the growth and success of the sport both on and off the ice.
To be eligible for the Official of the Year Award, a nominee must:
Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of ringette rules and regulations
Shows consistency and fairness in officiating all games
Exhibits professionalism and integrity, serving as a role model for players, coaches, and fellow officials
Displays leadership and initiative, assisting in the development of other officials or helping improve officiating standards
Maintains a positive attitude and strong communication skills, fostering respect and a safe, enjoyable game environment
Shows a long-term commitment to supporting Charlottetown Ringette through volunteering as an official
Nominations can be submitted by parents, athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, or association members.
Each nomination must include the nominee’s name, role, the award you are nominating them for and a description of why they deserve the award, highlighting their contributions, impact, and alignment with the award criteria.
Supporting examples or testimonials are encouraged to illustrate the nominee’s dedication, leadership, and positive influence.
Nominations are to be submitted to amanda@charlottetownringette.com by March 31st, 2026.
A selection committee, appointed by the Charlottetown Ringette Executive, reviews all nominations.
The committee evaluates each nominee based on the award’s key qualifications and criteria, considering factors such as impact, leadership, commitment, and alignment with the values of the association.
The award recipient is chosen by consensus of the committee.
Winners are announced at the Charlottetown Ringette Annual General Meeting.
